Vibrant Morocco 10 Day Itinerary from Fes to Tangier

Start the morning with a guided tour of Fes, where every alley feels like a page from a history book. You’ll stop by the Royal Palace gates, stroll through the old Jewish quarter, and admire panoramic views of the Medina. Inside the UNESCO-listed Medina, explore the Bou Inania Madrasa, the iconic Blue Gate, bustling tanneries, and the world’s oldest university, Al Quaraouiyine. After that, enjoy some free time in the afternoon to discover Fes at your own pace.

Today the road takes you south through changing landscapes. First, visit Ifrane, often called the Switzerland of Morocco for its alpine-style charm. Next, stroll through the cedar forest where Barbary macaques swing in the trees. After lunch in Midelt, continue along the scenic Ziz Valley until you reach the Sahara in Merzouga. After breakfast, head to Rabat, Morocco’s laid-back capital. Here you’ll explore the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the charming Kasbah of the Udayas. Next, the journey continues north through scenic landscapes until you reach Chefchaouen. Known as the Blue Pearl, this mountain town is full of dreamy blue-painted alleys, perfect for photos and peaceful walks.
