Unforgettable 4 Days Luxury Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech to Erg Chigaga

We begin early—your private driver will pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech around 7:30 AM. As we ascend the High Atlas Mountains, you’ll enjoy spectacular views and winding roads that lead us to the top of the Tizi n’Tichka pass.

Along the way, we’ll stop to stretch, take photos, and enjoy a traditional lunch in Ouarzazate—the Hollywood of Africa. Afterward, we continue toward the serene town of Zagora, passing through the Draa Valley, filled with ancient kasbahs and palm-lined villages.

After breakfast, we head further south, stopping at the historic village of Tamagroute. Here, you can explore one of Morocco’s oldest Quranic libraries and local pottery workshops.

Next, we reach M’hamid, where the paved road ends and the true desert begins. After a delicious lunch, we hop off the road and drive into the wilderness toward Erg Chigaga—one of the most breathtaking and untouched dunes in Morocco.

Before sunset, you'll ride a camel across the golden sands, just in time to watch the sun dip below the horizon. It’s pure magic.

Rise with the sun and enjoy breakfast in the peaceful silence of the Sahara. Then, we set off through a dramatic stretch of desert, crossing Lake Iriqui—a dry salt flat that looks like a scene from another planet.

As we reach Foum Zguid, the paved road returns, and you’ll feel the landscape slowly shift again. We stop for lunch and continue to the artisan village of Taznakht, known for its handwoven Berber carpets.

After breakfast, we visit the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed ksar that’s been the backdrop for films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Wander its winding alleys and soak in the history.

From there, we begin our scenic drive back to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains, arriving by late afternoon. We’ll drop you off at your hotel or preferred location.
