Day 1: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

Your adventure begins with an early pick-up in Marrakech. As we drive through the winding roads of the High Atlas Mountains, you’ll pass Berber villages and stop at scenic viewpoints on the Tizi n’Tichka pass.

Next, we visit the legendary Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for epic movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After exploring its mudbrick alleys, we head toward Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.”

In the afternoon, you’ll continue through the rose-filled valleys of Skoura and Kalaat M’Gouna before reaching the dramatic landscapes of the Dades Valley. Here, towering rock formations and winding gorges welcome you for your first overnight stay.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga – Camel Trekking

After breakfast, the journey continues through the Dades Valley with a short stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the red cliffs. Soon after, you’ll arrive at the spectacular Todra Gorges, where sheer canyon walls rise up to 300 meters high. Take your time to walk, stretch, and breathe in the fresh mountain air.

By afternoon, the scenery changes as we reach Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. We’ll first stop in Rissani, a bustling town famous for its traditional market, before continuing to Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops. Driving along the Ziz Valley, you’ll see lush palm groves contrasting beautifully with the desert backdrop.

After lunch in Midelt, we’ll cross the Middle Atlas Mountains and pause at the cedar forests near Azrou, where playful Barbary macaques live. The last stop before reaching Fes is Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style houses and snowy winters. By evening, you’ll arrive in the cultural capital of Fes, where your journey ends.
