Captivating 3 Day Desert Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga

Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up in Marrakech. Soon after leaving the busy streets, the scenery changes as we climb into the High Atlas Mountains, following the winding road of the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters. Along the way, you’ll spot charming Berber villages clinging to hillsides and enjoy short breaks for photos.

Next, the road leads to the legendary Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco’s most famous fortified village. As you wander its ancient alleys, you’ll recognize filming locations from “Game of Thrones” and many Hollywood movies. After lunch nearby, we continue along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” passing Ouarzazate, Skoura, and the fragrant Valley of Roses.

By late afternoon, we reach the dramatic landscapes of the Dades Valley. If time allows, you’ll explore its curious rock formations, nicknamed the “monkey fingers,” before settling in for a relaxing evening surrounded by the valley’s beauty.

Next, we travel deeper toward the Sahara Desert. In the afternoon, you’ll reach Merzouga and begin your camel trek across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. As you ride, the desert transforms with the shifting light, and soon you’ll pause on a high dune to watch one of Morocco’s most spectacular sunsets.

After that magical moment, you’ll continue to your desert camp. Here, a warm cup of mint tea awaits, followed by a delicious Moroccan dinner. The evening unfolds around the campfire with Berber music, stories, and an unforgettable night under millions of stars.
